I thought this was interesting.

Apparently Teshkeel Comics is putting out a superhero series with Muslim characters called the 99 (each named after God, because of the 99 names of God).  What seperates this from the usual religious comic (we’ve all seen the picture of Jesus rushing up a hill to battle the Romans on various sites) is that it is actually written and drawn by people with talent.  I do expect it to be over the top and religious but names like Fabian Nicieza, Dan Panosian, and John McCrea all make me at least want to sample this comic.
