I already miss Sabertooth

wolvsabes6.jpgJeph Loeb recently “killed off” Sabertooth and it really wasn’t met with much resistance from X-Men fans.  People just sort of accepted it and went along with it.  There were some rumblings, but no one really seamed to care that one of the only characters that gave Wolverine story lines that weren’t just spliced off X-Men story lines is - at least for now - dead.

I’m sure Marvel will bring him back eventually.  Maybe they’ll spin something where he was a Marauder clone that was replaced by the Skrulls and the real Sabertooth is actually this Romulus character that they’ve recently inserted into the series - oh yeah, and he is Wolverine’s father.

At the core of it, I’m just not happy with Sabertooth’s death.  Primarily because it involves a lame story line where some of the more “feral” mutants evolved from wolves - Lupines.  It just makes Wolverine - who is already a hollow character who somehow manages to make it into every possible book out there, ever - even more hollow.  It takes away a lot of what he was trying to accomplish, controlling his humanity.  Because now he isn’t human.  He is an evolved Lupine.

In a lot of forums, people have been complaining, this is by far THE WORST STORYLINE EVER to appear in a Wolverine comic.

Totally a piece of crap. They ruined Sabertooth, and Wolverine, no wonder people doesn’t care anymore and just ventilate their anger in forums.
