Marvel released this image “hinting” at who the new Cap will be.

Fanboys across the internet exploded in rage. 

The end of Civil War didn’t really leave much to guess.  It was obvious that Frank was going to try to capture the mantle of Captain America.  But now Marvel is hinting that there will be a power struggle for the mantle of Captain America.  You know what that means… Rise of the Captain Americas!

Come on Marvel, please tell me you aren’t reduced to ripping off storylines that DC did in 1993.  Should we expect the following from you also:

1. A young clone version of Captain America.
2. A totally teched out, possibly black, Captain America.
3. A cyborg fake of Captain America.
4. A version of Superman Captain America that doesn’t really make sense to this day: a 20,000 year old artifact from Krypton America

But we already know where this is going: Bucky is going to take over the mantle of Captain America.  He’ll be reluctant, he’ll probably have a Rodimus Prime complex about it, but he’ll do it eventually.
